my favorite animal

My favorite animal is the alligator, because I think it's an interesting animal. There are two different types of alligators, the American alligator and the Chinese alligator. Alligators can weigh over 1,000 pounds. Alligators eat many different animals such as fish, birds, turtles and even deer. Alligator eggs become male or female depending on the temperature they're in, male in warmer temperatures and female in cooler temperatures.

Alligators and crocodiles often get mistaken, but there are many differences. For example, crocodiles have a more V-shaped head. Crocodiles have a fourth tooth that sticks out when their mouth is closed. Alligator have shorter and wider U-shaped heads. Alligators also tend to be less aggressive than crocodiles. That's partly the reason why I prefer alligators. Alligators are only found in the wild only in American and China, while crocodiles are found all around the world, so alligators are less common.

My favorite animal is always interesting to tell people. It's amusing, since it's not common. What' s your favorite animal and why?
